Crusin’ with Mickey

I did an earlier post about my family’s love of Disney and our day at The Magic Kingdom over spring break.  Well, we did a Disney cruise for the second half of the break.  This was our fourth Disney cruise and we love them so much, we signed up for the next one while on the ship.  Disney’s attention to detail and quality really shows through on every aspect of the cruise and they are so fun for the whole family!  They have a fun Sail Away party where all the characters come on the stage on the deck and dance.  There are amazing broadway quality shows each night in the Walt Disney theater.  Pirate night is always a blast and this year, my kids got added to “The Pirate League” at the Bippity Bobbity Boo Salon on the ship.  Pirate night ends with a firework show at sea and then a fun dance party that goes until almost midnight.  That is always a highlight of the cruise for me.  I love dancing and having fun with my kids.  After the dance party, we always hit the Pirate midnight buffet.  This year they had yummy tacos and crepes…seriously, the food is so good.  Speaking of food, each night you go to a themed restaurant and they all are wonderful, but my favorite is The Royal Palace, which serves escargot, filet mignon and cream brûlée among other yummy things.  And I also love all the Mickey shaped treats on the cruise, everything from waffles, ice cream bars, cappuccino, cupcakes, truffles and more!  So fun!  We also participated in a gift exchange with some of the other cruisers.  That was so fun.  We always have a lot of fun at Castaway Cay, which is Disney’s private island.  The beach is beautiful, there is a fun water slide, snorkeling and an amazing buffet lunch at Cookies. The cruise always ends with a See ya real Soon party and all the characters come out to say goodbye.  It’s always so fun and we are so sad to leave.  I’m looking forward to our next Disney cruise!

This year I had matching shirts made from Etsy for my family to wear when boarding the ship.  I used this Etsy shop and she did an amazing job.  She shipped so fast and communicated with me really well.  I really recommend her!  My romper that I wore on Pirate night is the Claiborne Romper from Privacy Please for Revolve (linked here).  I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

XOXO, Elizabeth
